Nice.
I've been doing that for years without even thinking about it.Just be careful if you bind lots of things to Alt+(variable) and like to 'tab target' it's possible to accidentally alt-tab out of the game! I've trained myself to be mindful of it, but it does come up still from time to time. I take it into consideration when mapping abilities.
I have been using this ever since I found the "posses bar" feature in bartender. Basically, I have one hotbar showing, and if I hold shift, it goes to the second bar and I can click 1 to = and when I let go of shift it goes back to the first bar. Not only does it remove a lot of bars, but it also adds quite a few easily accesible keys. Add in the buttons listed above, shift+q, shift+e, etc. and you will never have to use the harder-to-reach keys "6" to "=".
This is all well and good but I don't see why it is necessary. I may not be using my keyboard in the most ergonomical way but if I really wanted to I can easily press both the Ctrl+Shift key at the same time just using my pinkie.Am I missing something?
The chin and toes are pretty useful as well for those button mashing moments. Yay for flexibility.
My own solution is just to click.I have little need to bind anything to the keyboard except for Blizzard's default...mostly.(I swear I'll get carpal tunnel eventually.)
15:31? you go by military time?
I've actually developed (though i'm sure I'm not the first to do so) a set of keybinds that actually spans 24 keys, and with macros, has the potential to hold more than double or triple that number.Main bar:1 through to 6F1 through to F6 (This used to be heals, until one day i decided to hold alt and throw a Rejuv on myself, which was incidentally, F4, while healing Gnomer)Bar above the main bar:AQW, RTG7 through to =Movement Keys:rebound to EDSFHelpful Macros to consider writing:1) MODIFIER MACROS! makes up majority of my macros especially for 1-6 and A-G.2) CONDITIONAL MACROS!Macros that check if you're stealthed, and macros that check if you're in combat.3) MOUSEOVERSThis is insanely helpful for heals/buffs. Mouseover a potrait and hit the desired key. Combine with targettarget macros for even more fun.4) TARGET MACROSHave the main tank targeted but moonfire will hit anything he's targetting now. Alternatively, you could have a boss targeted and have all your heals land on whoever it's targetting, though this isn't exactly good practice. That's all I have to share, and I'm sorry about the terrible presentation, but I'm half asleep right now. xD
Was not able to replicate this scenario on a laptop.
